I finally decided on the pot pie, which was generous with the chicken and had a good flavor of gravy, but their 'savory vegetables' are carrots and peas and their crust is deliciously buttery but definitely not flaky. The atmosphere is friendly but loud their menu is limited and they do not accept substitutions. All the tables/chairs are either bar stools or lounge / occasional chair height (think like you're at your toddler's preschool). Liberty Tavern is a hotel bar that serves food, not a restaurant with a bar. If you find yourself in Rosemont, IL (northwest Chicago area) be sure to try this place, if you love Italian food! It was in a good area as well.Based on the reviews, I was hoping for a quiet sit-down restaurant where I could eat dinner after a long day. The portions are huge, and the price was not high but fair. So good! You have to order a salad separately if you want one. That too was amazing! just crispy enough and exploding with the flavor of garlic and butter! as I was eating the server kept my drink full, and for dessert I had the lemon cheesecake. I had the mile high lasagna, and it was huge! it is several layers of cheese, but if you want meat, order it with meat sauce! It was amazing, and comes with garlic bread. quite soon afterwords, my server, sorry, didn't catch her name, took my order and I really didn't wait long for it to come. help was wonderful, and took my drink order promptly. It was like a bar or sports bar better yet. I walked in and immediately felt it would be a good place to unwind after a long day of traveling. I was in town for a convention, and a friend suggested I go here.
